ADMISSION RULES & REGULATIONS

Vedic Vishva Vidyapeeth, Kolkata

1. Admission Process

Applications are accepted through both online and offline modes.

Online Application: Visit Apply Online, complete the application form and upload the required documents.
Offline Application: Download the admission form, fill it in and submit it with the necessary documents to the Office of Admissions.
Admission Confirmation: Admission is confirmed only after eligibility and document verification, payment of prescribed fees and approval by the Institute.

2. Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents:

Recent passport-size photographs.
Academic mark sheets and certificates.
Identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport or other valid ID).
Address proof.
Programme-specific documents, if required.
Additional documents as requested by the Institute.

3. Eligibility Criteria

Programme	Minimum Qualification
Certificate	Class 10 Pass or equivalent
Diploma	Class 10 Pass; some courses require Class 12
Advanced Diploma	Class 12 Pass or relevant Diploma
PG Diploma	Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Bachelor's Programme	Class 12 Pass or equivalent
Master's Programme	Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Ph.D. Programme	Master's Degree in a relevant field

4. General Rules & Discipline

All admitted students must follow the Institute's rules and regulations.

Discipline: Students must maintain proper discipline and conduct on campus and during online/offline academic activities.
Respect: Students must respect teachers, staff, management and fellow students.
Anti-Ragging: Ragging, harassment, bullying and misconduct are strictly prohibited.
Disciplinary Action: Violation of rules may result in a warning, fine, suspension or expulsion, depending on the seriousness of the offence and applicable procedures.
Parent/Guardian Undertaking: Students may be required to submit an undertaking signed by their parent or guardian.
Institutional Property: Students are responsible for the proper use and safe custody of institutional equipment and property. Damage caused intentionally or through negligence may require compensation.
Campus Permission: Students must obtain permission from the authorised institutional authority before leaving the premises during academic hours.
Dress Code: Students must follow the prescribed institutional dress code, wherever applicable.

5. Attendance & Academic Participation

Minimum Attendance: 80% attendance is compulsory in all prescribed academic activities.
Class Participation: Students must attend scheduled online/offline classes, practical sessions, workshops and other academic activities.
Examination Eligibility: Students who fail to meet the prescribed attendance requirement may be disallowed from appearing in examinations, subject to applicable academic regulations.
Medical Absence: Students must inform the Institute and submit supporting medical documents in case of prolonged illness or absence.
Tests & Assessments: Students must participate in scheduled weekly, monthly and other prescribed assessments.
Dress & Conduct: Students must maintain appropriate discipline and follow academic instructions during all classes and examinations.

6. Fees & Payment Regulations

Fee Schedule: All fees must be paid according to the prescribed admission, semester or academic-year schedule.
Payment Methods: Fees may be paid through authorised modes, including cash, UPI, bank transfer, card or demand draft, as permitted by the Institute.
Late Payment: A late fee of ₹1,000 may be charged for payments delayed beyond the prescribed due date, subject to applicable institutional rules.
Outstanding Fees: Continued non-payment may lead to restriction of academic services or removal from the Institute's rolls after due notice and applicable procedure.
Fee Clearance: Students must clear all outstanding dues before examination, certificate issuance or other applicable academic processes.

7. Refund, Withdrawal & Fee Adjustment Policy

General Policy: Fees once paid are ordinarily non-refundable, non-transferable and non-adjustable.
Voluntary Withdrawal: Students who discontinue a programme after admission must submit a written withdrawal request.
Exceptional Cases: Refunds, if any, may be considered by the competent authority in writing or where required under applicable law.
Course Discontinuation: Any outstanding fee liability will be determined according to the applicable programme terms and institutional policy.
No Automatic Refund: Submission of a withdrawal request does not automatically entitle a student to a refund.

8. Tests, Examinations & Assessment

Compulsory Participation: Students must appear in all prescribed internal tests, practical assessments and examinations.
Absence: Absence without valid reasons may affect academic progress and examination eligibility.
Make-up Assessment: A make-up test may be permitted with prior approval and payment of the prescribed fee, where applicable.
Medical Grounds: Requests for exemption or rescheduling on medical grounds must be supported by appropriate documents.
Academic Integrity: Malpractice, impersonation, plagiarism or any form of examination misconduct may invite disciplinary action.

9. Scholarship & Fee Concessions

Eligibility: Scholarships and fee concessions are subject to the Institute's prescribed eligibility criteria and approval.
Attendance: Students receiving scholarships or fee concessions must maintain the required attendance, ordinarily 80%.
Review: Non-compliance with scholarship conditions may result in withdrawal or review of the concession, subject to the applicable scheme and written terms.

10. Admission Confirmation & Seat Reservation

Submission of an application does not guarantee admission.
Admission is subject to eligibility, document verification, fee payment and approval.
Seat reservation is governed by the applicable admission and payment terms.
Any provisional admission remains subject to final verification.
Incorrect, incomplete or misleading information may result in cancellation of admission after following the applicable procedure.

11. Official Communication & No Verbal Commitment

All requests concerning admission, withdrawal, fees, refunds or concessions must be submitted in writing.
Oral assurances, telephone conversations or informal messages do not constitute binding institutional approval.
Any special permission, concession or refund must be confirmed in writing by the competent authority.
Students should communicate through the Institute's official contact channels.

12. Institute's Authority

The Institute reserves the right to:

Frame and update academic and administrative rules.
Verify submitted documents and eligibility.
Take appropriate disciplinary action for misconduct.
Modify academic schedules or administrative procedures when necessary.
Consider exceptional requests through the competent authority.

All decisions shall be subject to applicable laws, regulatory requirements and the student's applicable programme terms.

13. Jurisdiction

Any dispute arising from admission, fees or institutional matters shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts at Kolkata, West Bengal, to the extent legally permissible.

14. Acceptance of Rules & Regulations

By submitting the admission application, paying the prescribed fees and signing the applicable declaration, the applicant confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to abide by the Institute's Admission Rules & Regulations.

Where applicable, the parent or guardian shall also acknowledge and accept these conditions.
